In turn-based TM there are two reasons that one has to return to the game: either it is your turn to take an action, or you just have to decide whether to accept energy. This decision about accepting energy comes down to this: how many points is the player willing to trade for (points+1) energy.
The game currently makes the decision for you if it is 0 points for 1 energy. The change proposed here would extend this to give the player the option of setting higher thresholds so that it happens automatically more frequently and they avoid an unnecessary return to the game (and an unnecessarily delay for the other players).
This involves adding the options shown below to each player's game interface. The player would set it per game, and their setting would not be visible to the other players. Left in its default settings, game play would be no different then it is now.
How many points are you willing to give up in exchange for power - automatically?
- 0 pts for 1 power (default),
- 1 pt for 2 power
- 2 pts for 3 power
- 3 pts for 4 power
- 4 pts for 5 power
Could also have these two options:
(For both the default is ON, which is the same as current behavior:)
- Always ask me if decision involves a cultist
- Beyond the threshold chosen above, ask me rather then automatically declining • Ποιο είναι το πρόγραμμα περιήγησής σου;
