I guess there was an error message that I clicked away too fast. However in the next phase I had to select cards to throw away. Two suggestions: 1) don't allow players to stop the card fase if they haven't played a single card (there isn't ever a tactical reason to do so) 2) allow an undo even at the moment you need to select cards to throw away.
