DaddyWilWelcome to *El Grande!*
In this game you're a noble vying for influence across the country of Spain by having the most *Caballeros* in each region.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment000
DaddyWilThe game is played through 9 rounds, with scoring being calculated after every 3rd round. The person with the most points after the 3rd scoring round is the winner!
DaddyWilAt the beginning of every round you will be asked to play a single [blue]*Power Card*[/blue]. This determines how many *Caballeros* you receive from your *Province* to your *Court* designated by the number of Caballero icons inside the card, and in what order you get to choose the [green]*Action Cards*[/green].
3archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment000actioncards 8 hand 7
DaddyWilThe [blue]*Province*[/blue] is your supply of Caballeros and they must be moved to the [blue]*Court*[/blue] before they can be moved onto the board.
DaddyWilNow it's our turn to pick a [blue]power card[/blue], you cannot choose a power card that your opponent(s) has already picked this round, and cannot play any ones that you have played previously. Power cards determine the order you choose [green]action cards[/green] by whoever played the highest [blue]power card[/blue], then picking in descending order.
Let's pick our [blue]*8 Power Card*[/blue]1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment61f464ac17b4f10hand_item_94 7 hand 2
DaddyWil*Great Job!* Since we picked the highest number this round, we have first pick at the [green]*action cards*[/green]. In addition we will receive 2 *Caballeros* from our *Province* and they will be moved to our *Court* ready to be deployed on the map, because our card [blue]"8 Power Card"[/blue] has 2 *Caballeros* on it.
Let's choose the [green]*King's Card*[/green] as our [green]*Action Card*1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment61f464da599f910actioncards_item_45 8
DaddyWilAfter choosing an [green]Action Card[/green] you can choose to execute the action listed on the card first OR deploy *Caballeros* from your *Court* first.
Let's choose to place our *Caballeros* first.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment61f464dd3fa4d10actioncards 8
DaddyWilYou can place up to the number of Caballeros shown on the bottom left corner of an [green]Action Card[/green]. In this case 5. In addition you may *only* place Caballeros adjacent to the [blue]King Pawn[/blue].
Lets place 3 Caballeros in [red]Pais Vasco[/red], and 2 in [red]Castilla la Vieja[/red]1aragon61f464f058b6e10actioncards 3 stock_galicia_item_1 7
DaddyWilAfter choosing to place Caballeros we can now choose to use the action on the action card, or choose not to.
In this case, lets use it, and move the [blue]*King*[/blue] to [red]Granada[/red]1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment61f465041849c10
DaddyWilOur opponent has chosen the [green]"Mobile Scoreboard"[/green] action card. They can now choose to execute the action card, or place Caballeros first and then do the other.
Remember *Caballeros* can only be deployed to regions adjacent to the [blue]King[/blue]. In this case [red]Sevilla, Castilla La Nueva, and Valencia[/red]1valencia61f4652d5c8f600actioncards_item_39 3 stock_granada_item_1 2
DaddyWilIf you notice, our opponent placed a *Caballero* in the [red]Castillo[/red] which is the region that has a tower on it. Caballeros here are hidden from view, and is scored normally, we will talk about that more during scoring!1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment61f4653e9899c00
DaddyWilOur opponent now executes his *Action Card* and places the mobile scoreboard on Castilla la Vieja.
DaddyWilHe chooses to score [red]Aragon[/red]. Scoring is determined by whoever has the most *Caballeros* in the region, with the most receiving the left most points pictured in the region, and so on and so fourth. If there is a tie, all tied players receive points equal to the amount shown one lower they are tied for.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment61f465733f7ff00
DaddyWilIf your *Grande* is in that region AND you have the most you will receive +2 more points.
If the *King* is in a region that is being scored, the person with the most *Caballeros* will receive +2 more points.2archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment61f465733f7ff00
DaddyWilAfter scoring for his chosen region, our 2nd opponent has 2 *Caballeros* to deploy to the region that is adjacent to the [blue]King[/blue].
In this case he deployed 1 to [red]Valencia[/red] and 1 to [red]Sevilla[/red].1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment61f465831d9ad00stock_granada_item_1 2
DaddyWilOur 3rd and final opponent has chosen the [green]"Intrigue" Action Card[/green].1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment61f4658992a7900actioncards_item_4 3
DaddyWilOur opponent chooses not to use the action of his action card. But chooses to only place 1 *Caballero*.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment61f46598b986800
DaddyWilWith everyone having chosen an [green]*Action Card*[/green] the round is over. This will repeat for 2 more rounds before *Scoring* happens. Lets go check how scoring works after the 3rd round. Hang tight!1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment61f465aaaca8700actioncards 3
DaddyWilNow that the 3rd round is over scoring occurs now. Do you remember the [red]Castillo[/red], the place with the tower in it? Players with *Cabelleros* will now secretly choose a region for all of their Caballeros from the Castillo to go to after scoring for it.
Remember nothing can ever go in or out of the [blue]King's[/blue] Region.1valencia61f468acee75100stock_galicia_item_3 2
DaddyWilLet's choose [red]Cataluna[/red] for our *Cabelleros* from the Castillo to go to.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment61f468b0930a600
DaddyWilAfter everyone has chosen a region for their *Cabelleros* to go to from the Castillo, the Castillo will score, and their *Caballeros* will then move to their chosen place.
After they have been moved all other regions will be scored.1archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment61f468d262c9600
DaddyWilIf you have the most, you will score the left most pictured in the region's icon. 2nd most will be the middle icon, and so fourth. If there is a tie, all tied players score the icon below they are tied for. Ties for 3rd get nothing.
If your *Grande* is in that region, AND you have the most you will score +2 more points. Whoever has the most in the *King's* Region will score +2 additonal points.2archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment61f468d262c9600
DaddyWilAnd with that! That is *El Grande!* You will repeat this process 6 more times for 9 total rounds, and 3 scoring phases. Whoever has the most points at the end is the winner!
Good Luck & Have Fun!3archivecontrol_editmode_centercomment61f468d262c9600
